Technical SEO audit for small businesses.
Find what is holding the site back.
You can have the reviews, the profile and the content, and still be held back by things nobody can see. An audit finds them and puts them in order.
Most local business websites were built by someone thinking about how it looks, not about how Google reads it. Both matter, and only one of them is visible.
Technical SEO · The half of the site nobody seesEverything Google looks at when it crawls you.
The audit covers five groups. Each one can hold a site back on its own, and most sites we open have something in three of them.
Crawling and indexing
Can Google reach every page, and has it actually filed them? We check the robots file, the sitemap and the internal link structure, then compare that against what is really indexed. A page Google has not indexed does not exist in search.
Speed and Core Web Vitals
Loading time, how soon the page responds, and whether it jumps about while it loads. All three are ranking signals. We test every page on a phone and on a desktop, find what is slowing it down, and sort the fixes by how much they move.
Mobile
Google reads the phone version of your site first. Small text, buttons sat on top of each other, a page that slides sideways: any of those costs you rankings before a visitor gets a chance to bounce. We test across real screen widths.
On page and schema
Title tags, meta descriptions, heading order, image alt text and URL structure tell Google what each page is for. Schema spells it out in a format it cannot misread. We check every page for missing, duplicated or lazy versions of all of it.
Structure and security
How pages link to each other, which ones have nothing pointing at them, which links are broken, and whether two URLs are competing with the same content. Plus the certificate, so every page loads securely with nothing mixed in.
Not a score. A change you can see.
A finding is only worth something if it turns into a before and an after. These are the three most common ones on a local business site.
A page taking seven seconds on a phone: images uploaded at full camera resolution, resized and compressed properly, and the page loads before the visitor gives up.
Five pages titled Home or Services: rewritten around the search each page is actually for, so Google stops guessing which one to show and starts showing the right one.
A service page nothing links to: wired into the menu, the footer and the pages either side of it, so both Google and a visitor can find it in one click.
A fix list, in the order that pays.
The audit is not a wall of red warnings. It is a list of problems ranked by how much each one is costing you, written so it makes sense without an SEO sitting next to you explaining it.
Broken pages, blocked indexing and the big speed problems come first, because they hold everything else down. Alt text and extra schema come later, because they are worth doing and they are not the reason you are on page two.

Before you book the call.
How is this different from a free site checker?
A checker gives you a score and a list. It cannot tell you which three items on that list are the reason you are not ranking, and it cannot tell the difference between a warning that matters and one that never will.
Do you fix the problems or just list them?
Either. We can do the work, or you can hand the list to whoever built the site. It is written so a developer can act on it without needing to ask us what a line means.
My site is only two years old. Does it need this?
Often more than an old one. Most local business sites were built to look right rather than to rank, and the newer page builders make it very easy to ship something slow.
How long does an audit take?
Days rather than weeks for the audit itself. The fix list is ordered by impact, so the changes that move rankings can start before the rest of it is finished.
Will fixing this alone get me ranking?
Usually not on its own. Technical work removes what is holding you back. The profile, the reviews, the citations and the links are what push you forward once the brakes are off.
